Ukrainian exports of peas goes in India, Turkey and Pakistan

In the current season, Ukraine has gathered a record harvest of peas over the past 20 years, more than 750 thousand tons. Experts predict that the export potential of Ukrainian peas in season 2016/17 in the range of from 520 to 540 thousand tons.

In July 2016 the main buyer of Ukrainian peas was India. The share of exports to India accounted for 65% of total exports of peas.

Significantly increased purchases from Turkey were imported in one month, about 11.8 thousand tons of Ukrainian peas to 2 million tons in 2015/16. This is the maximum volume of purchases by Turkey over the past five seasons.

A stable leader among importers of Ukrainian peas also remains Pakistan, which has received from Ukraine 9% shipments of peas.
